Powered by a 2-stroke, air-cooled, 2 HP gasoline engine, this backpack ULV aerosol applicator can be used outdoors for controlling pests, mosquitoes, and desert locusts, as well as for plant protection measures in plantations for an efficient, economical, and target-orientated ULV application. This knapsack ULV fogger is ideal for mosquito and pest control over extensive areas, the application of larvicides, desert locust control, disinfection and deodorization of garbage dumps, sewage treatment, plant protection measures in large, tropical plantations, and much more.

In the 1970s, the Swingtec Fontan ULV-R was the first portable cold fog machine that was exclusively designed for use in the ULV spraying method. The device has been continuously developed, and the actual Fontan Portastar S 50 device is based on this concept. The Swingtec Fontan Portastar S 50 is probably the most popular and best-selling ULV backpack fogging device around the world.

All Swingtec Fontan Cold Fogging Aerosol Generators are equipped with oil-free and maintenance-free low-pressure compressors. The compressors produce a high-velocity air stream, which is further accelerated in the swirl vane of the nozzle system. The fog liquid is processed into fine aerosol droplets, where optimal distribution and coverage is obtained, providing high efficacy and depth of penetration. The modern technology of the fogging devices and the economical use of preparations (without drip loss) meet both economic and ecological objectives. All metal parts that come into contact with the fog liquid are made of stainless steel.

Droplets: VMD (Volume Median Diameter) with all dosing nozzles < 30 μm. The VMD value corresponds to the current specifications of the WHO (World Health Organization). Delivery of the spraying liquid is achieved through a negative pressure in the spraying tank. The flow rate (liters per hour) is determined by easily interchangeable dosage nozzles.
