The XL King version takes the patented, innovative design of the original Kindling Cracker and enables you to split even larger firewood. The inside diameter of the enhanced safety ring has been expanded to a full 9", helping to keep your fingers safely away from the blade and allowing you to split almost 40% larger firewood than the original. The 17" height is taller than the original, enabling you to split longer pieces of firewood without the worry about running out of room below the splitting wedge.

To make the best kindling for your fire, place the firewood inside the safety ring and strike it with a blunt object, such as a hammer, mallet, or even another piece of wood. This drives the wood down onto the splitting wedge for a quick and easy split.
