The new Delavan FB 3 Series Diaphragm Pumps have an improved design that results in extended pump life and improved performance.

Product Description

The Delavan PowerFlo 12V FatBoy Series 3 Diaphragm Pumps have a new and improved design that results in extended pump life and improved performance for many of your professional spraying applications.

The improved design of the Delavan FB 3 Diaphragm Pumps result in longer pump life and a much more efficient operation compared to previous 7 gpm (26.5 lpm) diaphragm pumps. They provide a more consistent operation over a wide pressure range, providing the consumer with a reliable pump that produces less amp draw and less heat, meaning greater performance over the long haul.

These Delavan 12V FatBoy Series 3 Diaphragm Pumps are available in bypass or demand mode to meet the demands of professionals in the lawn and turf, roof cleaning (with mild chemicals), fluid transfer, and dust suppression markets.

Two Delavan PowerFlo FatBoy 3 Series Diaphragm Pumps to choose from:

  • Delavan 7871-101E - Demand Pump
  • Delavan 7871-111E - Bypass Pump

Both versions of the Delavan FB3 Diaphragm Pumps have chemically-resistant Viton valves that are excellent for pumping a variety of general use agricultural chemicals for lawn and turf spraying, including herbicides, pesticides, liquid fertilizers, insecticides, and more. Other uses include roof cleaning with mild chemicals, dust suppression, and more.

Demand Pumps have a pressure sensing demand switch that eliminates the need for a pressure regulator and are used in situations where you require a set flow and pressure (eg. spray wands on spot sprayers). If a faucet or valve is opened down stream of the pump, line pressure drops, causing the pump to start automatically. When the valve shuts, line pressure increases, causing the pump to shut off automatically. The switch reacts to outlet pressure and interrupts power at a preset shutoff pressure. If the outlet pressure drops below a predetermined level, the demand switch closes and the pump will only work until the shutoff pressure is achieved once again.

Bypass Pumps are used in applications where a wide range of flows and pressures are required (eg. spray bar with multiple nozzles, each controlled independently). The pump will continue to run regardless of pressure in the system. The flow rate is different if one nozzle is turned on opposed to turning two or more nozzles on. As nozzles are turned off, excess flow is bypassed within the pump.

Note: The motor surface temperature should not surpass 180° F.

We recommend using the AA122-1/2-PP Poly Line Strainer (see Related Products) to help eliminate contaminates from running through your bypass or demand pump.
