Designed for both commercial and residential settings, this Spyker walk-behind broadcast spreader can be used during the winter season to apply ice melt and bagged rock salt to walkways, pathways, driveways, etc. and many other areas that are affected by snow and ice. It also can be used for the remainder of the year during the warmer months to distribute compost, seed, fertilizer, and sand to rejuvenate lawns.
The impact-resistant 100 lb. capacity poly hopper features an innovative design that virtually eliminates bridging, allowing materials to flow evenly with no shaking or bouncing required. The extra large rectangular hopper opening, which measures 2.4" x 2 3/4", is ideal for distributing larger granules like rock salt. A stainless steel carving blade is equipped to slice through dense materials, including clumps of ice melt and rock salt, to ensure your materials continue to flow freely.
Other features on the Spyker SPY100-2S ERGO-PRO Walk-Behind Winter Broadcast Spreader include an ergonomically designed handle that can be adjusted from 5'3" to 6'6" to reduce user fatigue; a lift handle to make lifting easier, even if the hopper is full; large, pneumatic 13" x 5" turf tires to minimize fatigue, increase traction, and reduce damage to grass; and a high visibility reflective frame for visibility in low-light conditions or poor weather conditions.
Included is a cold shock-proof hopper cover with an easy ON/OFF tab to protect materials inside the hopper from contamination by rain or snow, and a high visibility variable deflector that adjusts the spread width from 3' to 12' for the right spread width.
