Powered by a sealed 12V DC electric motor, this Shurflo 5000 Series Diaphragm Pump features a Santoprene diaphragm and Viton valves for maximum chemical resistance, enabling use with a variety of common agricultural chemicals, including herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, liquid fertilizers, and other hard-to-handle fluids. Ideal for fluid transfer applications, spot spraying, heavy-duty spraying, liquid fertilizing applications, foam marking, and many other general purpose spraying applications.

Bypass pumps are useful in applications where there is frequent starting and stopping of the motor, thereby creating a potential for overheating. Pumps equipped with an internal bypass are designed to pump at high pressures while at low flow rates. To protect the pump in the event of dead heading, this pump is set at 90 psi.
