Product Description
Portable Winch Double-Braided Polyester Ropes:
Various lengths of Portable Winch Double Braided Polyester Rope available: 164' (50 m), 328' (100 m), 492' (150 m), 656' (200 m), and 984' (300 m) of 1/2" (13 mm) or 3/8" (10 mm) diameter rope. Models with part numbers that end in M2ESC come with 2 eye splices.
The double-braided construction of these polyester ropes result in increased durability and low-stretch properties for safety. They are abrasion resistant, so they will work great with the Portable Winch where it is subject to heat and friction.
The minimum break strength for 3/8" diameter ropes is 4850 lb (2200 kg) and for 1/2" diameter ropes is 7275 lb (3300 kg). Weight per 100 ft is 6.5 lbs (3 kg). Stretch is only 12% at break point.
A bowline knot is usually used in pulling operations. Even though all knots will reduce the rope's capacity, the bowline knot will reduce it by only 30% compared to 50% for a flat knot.
The spliced ropes (M2ESC) have a galvanized steel thimble that protects against wear caused by hooks and shackles installed at the rope end. The splice will retain almost 100% of the rope's capacity compared to a knot, which reduces the capacity by at least 30%. Additionally, the splice at both ends will allow the rope to turn around from time to time to ensure wear along its length. The spliced ropes are recommended for lifting operations.
These Double-Braided Polyester Portable Winch Ropes can be used for any purpose, they are not for exclusive use with the Portable Winch.

The Portable Winch PCA-1360 Ropewizer is a heavy-duty thimble for double-braided polyester ropes with 3/8" to 1/2" diameters. The RopeWizer is easy to attach to the end of your rope and gives you all the benefits of a conventional splice without the high cost. Min. Break Strength: 5620 lb. (25 kN).

The Vinyl Rope Bag PCA-0103 attaches to the PCA-0104 Molded Backpack. Use it for storing and carrying your Double Braided Polyester Ropes when you want to avoid tangles. The bag stores up to 164' of 3/8" rope.
