Pirit Series V Electric Heated Hose - 120V
Overview
Product Description
Provide a reliable and constant water source during the cold winter months without the worry about your water freezing up with these Pirit Series V Electric Heated Hoses.
No more lackluster performances with heated hoses that are either too stiff or unresponsive, failing to deliver on the promise of providing you fresh, potent water during the freezing months. No more frustrations when your garden hose becomes frozen and will not move, as these Pirit Series V Heated Hoses are designed to prevent freezing down to -42° F (-41° C) temperatures, enabling you to water in freezing conditions that standard garden hoses cannot. These no-freeze, cold weather hoses are thermostatically controlled so they do not turn on unless the ambient temperature approaches freezing temperatures, automatically turning the hose on at 45° F and turning it off at 57° F.
A new feature on these Pirit Series V Heated Hoses are stronger reinforcements that have been added to ensure a tighter hose fitting and improved durability during the winter months. Internal heated wires have been intruded into a silicon layer for an end-to-end heat seal, a mesh reinforcement has been installed for up to 200 psi burst strength, an abrasion-resistant covering provides extra protection, and a fourth layer at the nozzle assembly protects the heated wires that secure all the elements. Other features include grounded nickel-plated brass female and male couplings and bend restrictors on both ends to withstand outdoor use all winter season long. The inner surface is lead-free and made with food-grade PVC materials, so these watering hoses are approved by the FDA for potable water use.
NOTE: The thermostat must be exposed to the ambient or outside temperature in order for the Pirit Hose to work properly. The thermostat is located at the end of the electric cord attached to the male end of the hose. When you set up the hose for use, be sure the thermostat is not in a heated environment or in an insulated compartment of any kind.
