Powered by a durable and long lasting Honda GX160 4-stroke gas engine, the Portable Winch PCH2000 can easily handle a variety of pulling and lifting operations in industrial, construction, hunting, search and rescue, forestry, and arboriculture applications. Raise towers, antennas, and heavy insulator equipment ; pull cables, wires, boats, docks, water fences ; lift transformers, bricks, scaffolding ; and perform many other rugged jobs that involve lifting or pulling objects. The Portable Winch PCH2000 has a maximum pulling force of up to 2535 lbs. and rated lifting capacity of up to 990 lbs. on a single line. Using a pulley system (not included) will double the pulling force up to 5070 lbs. and double the lifting capacity up to 1980 lbs.
The winch's unique and integrated Progressive Capture System (PCS) permits the user to work safely from the ground, while the start / stop mechanism makes it easy for the user to concentrate on the task being performed. Once the rope is inserted into the grabbing system, the user activates the clutch and initiates the movement by pulling the rope horizontally. The user can decide to stop lifting and hold the load in mid-air at any time. To lower the load, pull on the handle of the cord attached to the PCS to disengage it while controlling the main rope in the descent. The oversized capstan drum doesn't increase rope conductivity and maintains a constant pulling force over an unlimited length of rope at a speed of 66'/min.
Important: For lifting operations, the winch can be used with 1/2" diameter Double-Braided Polyester Rope as long as it contains eye splices and thimbles. Ropes that end in 'M2ESC' come with eye splices and thimbles. These ropes are mandatory for lifting operations with this PCH2000 Portable Winch. The only recommended diameter rope to be used is 1/2".
