A perfect piece of equipment for the homeowner during the winter months, this Chapin broadcast spreader is just the right size to easily push along driveways, walkways, pathways, sidewalks, etc. to spread salt and ice melt. It's supported by a strong black powder-coated steel frame, solid steel linkage, and a metal-alloy axle for durability during the long winter months.
Easy to use, all you have to do is pull the handle, fill the hopper with your spreading material, set your adjustable gate, and start spreading. The smooth-rolling 9" pneumatic tires provide excellent traction on snow and ice, making maneuverability during the cold winter months very manageable. The adjustable side and front baffles control the spread so you are not going over on your lawn or other areas wasting material. The enclosed gears prevent debris from interfering with your spreading operation. An even spread pattern and distribution of material are ensured with this Chapin broadcast spreader's innovative gate design, strategic placement of openings, positive stop (full open / full closed), and easy gate adjustment for salt and ice melt applications.
This Chapin walk-behind spreader works well with ice melt, halite, and smaller particulates.
