Overview
Product Description
The Pulaski / Landscaping Axe (41810) has a head forged from a single piece of carbon steel for unmatched strength. The 12" wide head is heat treated to Rockwell 45-60 for greater depth of hardness, edge holding ability, safety, and durability. The blade is hand sharpened on the one end. The other end is a mattock blade that's good for digging and grubbing out the roots and stumps of small trees and bushes.
The interior of the eye in the head of the Pulaski Axe is tapered to provide a more secure fit. The heads are then hydraulically seated onto the handle and then secured with a serrated aluminum wedge, thus providing a maximum fit and hold.
The fiberglass-handled Pulaski Axe model is made with a pultruded structural fiberglass core and an injection molded jacket. The handle, which has a slip resistant grip, is tough, strong, non-conductive and non-corrosive.
