PX Pruner (Fixed Handle) and Pouch by Bahco
Overview
Product Description
As seen in Fine Gardening magazine. It's all about choice! These ergonomic pruners are a whole new concept in hand pruners. PX pruners all have their blades placed on an angle to the handles to reduce stress on hands, wrists and arms.
Choose a handle that fits your hand and a blade size that fits your needs using our sizing guide. Available in both right and left handed.
Based on years of research and user testing, the benefits of these ergonomic pruners will be felt in less hand fatigue and a more productive working life. The handle shape has been based on study of how pruners are used. The load is spread more evenly across the hand and away from sensitive areas.
The vertical and lateral inclinations help to keep your arm and hand straight in line. These angles avoid pains on tendons and nerves while cutting, reducing the risk of tennis elbow and carpal tunnel syndrome.
A couple of examples: Our horticulturalist, Bruce, who has small hand but does some heavy pruning bought a pair with small handles and a large cutting head. My mother, with an average size woman's hand and a 1/2 acre of flower garden, is getting a pruner with a small handle and a small cutting head. Large 6'2" Robert who has his own vineyard has a pair with large handles and a medium size cutting head.
This package includes a pouch, made by Bahco, for easy carrying.
